Session One: Tuesday, October 18, 2022
The Future of Energy: Climate, Policy and Innovation
In 2022, the Russia/Ukraine conflict put a spotlight on the complex international energy supply chain. As the movement to net-zero continues, we will explore how governments, innovators and industry leaders are tackling climate change driven by economics, policy and demand. We will also discuss the investment opportunities that the energy transition creates. This session will feature a lively conversation between Dr. Michael Webber, who is the Josey Centennial Professor in Energy Resources at the University of Texas at Austin and Chief Technology Officer of Energy Impact Partners, and Kelly Johnston, President of First Republic Trust Company and Executive Vice President of First Republic Private Wealth Management.
Session Two: Thursday, October 27, 2022
Agriculture of Tomorrow: The Future of Food and Wine
Climate-related concerns, including wildfires and water shortages, are top of mind for the agriculture industry. In this session, we will explore how innovators in food and wine are embracing more efficient techniques to satisfy increasing demand while also seeking long-term solutions that are tailored to help address climate concerns. Joining this panel will be Nona Yehia, Co-Founder of Vertical Harvest; Kathleen Inman, Owner, Winemaker and General Manager of Inman Family Wines; and Nicolas Gentin, Executive Vice President, First Republic Investment Management.
